Denpasar – Tears of gratitude streamed down the face of 70 year old Frans Huwa, a grandfather from East Manggarai who has been battling rheumatoid arthritis, a chronic autoimmune condition that affects multiple joints including his legs. Bedridden and resigned to his condition, Frans had been waiting for a miracle. That moment came when the Kaori Welas Asih Foundation donated a wheelchair, giving him renewed hope and mobility for his future medical treatments.
“Previously, our family was considering renting a wheelchair, but thanks to the Kaori Foundation’s donation, this has truly lifted a burden from us. God hears our prayers, and His blessings flow through the hands of Kaori,” said Nelly, the patient’s wife, at Sanglah General Hospital on Thursday (September 15, 2024).
She expressed her deep appreciation for the kindness shown by the foundation, adding, “Kaori’s generosity and compassion are truly noble. May Kaori always be blessed with health and a long life.”
Ni Kadek Winnie Kaori, founder of the Kaori Welas Asih Foundation, humbly stated that her efforts are simply an expression of empathy and solidarity with those in hardship. “As long as we are able to do good and help others, we will continue to do so,” said the philanthropist, who also chairs the Indonesian Women Entrepreneurs Association (PERWIRA) Gianyar.
Under her leadership, the Kaori Group has grown into a social entity committed to humanitarian values and tireless contributions to society. In conjunction with Indonesia’s Independence Day commemorations, the group has been spreading acts of kindness while also preparing to expand its business ventures across the archipelago.
Today, Kaori Group oversees several subsidiaries, including Kaori Academy Center (KAC), Dupa Pasupati Kaori, Kaori bottled water (AMDK), Kaori Rice, Pom Migo Kaorian, and the Sahabat Kaori Jaya Cooperative.
